The 12th of June the Norwegian government announced the decision to re-open the borders to Nordic countries with a similar Covid-19 situation as Norway. The borders have been open since 15th of June and we are of course very happy that our Danish, Finish and Norwegian fishermen will be allowed to fish Lakselva this summer.

It is still uncertain how long it will take before travelling to Norway from Non-Nordic countries and Sweden may be allowed. We are worried that for many, the borders may open too late to be able to utilize the fishing license in Lakselva.

To honor our loyal fishermen, the board of Lakselva Landowners Association has decided to offer fishermen from Non-Nordic countries and Sweden to transfer their fishing licenses to 2021. The licenses that become available after transfer to 2021 will be put up for re-sale immediately.

Those fishermen this apply to will receive an email from Elveguiden with more information. In order to transfer the fishing licenses from 2020 to 2021, reply to this email within or at the latest at Friday 19th of June.
The reply should include : Name, country and order-ID.

We sincerely hope that this solution is acceptable for most of our fishermen.
