Just before leaving for Christmas break, I made the draw in the catch and release contest. I have now finally got in touch with the winners of the the two season licenses given by Lakselv land owners association, and the two trips to Iceland given by Bergen Aktiv.

Jan Bass was the first person whose name was drawn. Jan was presented the opportunity with either a season license in Lakselva or a trip to Iceland, and he picked Iceland. His winning contribution was this fish estimated to be around 9 kilo.

We thank you all for your contribution to the contest in 2017. Releasing salmon has proven a very important part in reaching our spawning targets, and we also se a lot of released fish surviving and returning to the river even bigger after a couple of years. The contest will of course continue in 2018, and we look forward to many great contributions.
