A 200 year flood in Lakselva was predicted to result in a water flow of 310 m3/s at the measure point at Skoganvarre . Yesterday (09.06.20) the water flow was 336 m3/s. The river has dropped since then. The water flow is however still substantial and the flood warning remain at level RED. The flood has led to damages on suspension bridges and parts of the Klemetstad road on the west side of the river near Phanmukka has collapsed. Massive amounts of water has lead to erosion of the river banks. Destabilization of masses near the river may lead to collapsing of riverbanks. We ask people to keep safe distance to the suspension bridges and to take necessary safety precautions around the river. Fishing is not safe or recommended at the moment!
