Because of a slow start to this year's season, the board in Lakselv land owners association met today (18th of July) to discuss the current situation on the river. The board was briefed on the catch numbers, and the results of the last two drift counts. The last drift count was done today, and it showed good numbers of fish in the river, and many big fish. The board also looked at the numbers of this season, compared to similar season where the start has been rather slow, and pointed out that the spawning targets have been reached also in these years.

The board was unanimous in it's decision to not impose any extraordinary measures. The current conditions with low water and warm and clear weather, is as we know, not the best conditions for salmon fishing, and can take much of the "blame" for the fishing being as it is.

The board is being continously updated on the situation, and will evaluate the last half of the season continously.

Despite demanding conditions, Jean Charles Morin, succeeded in tricking this great salmon a few days ago.

PS! The board also decided to reverse the decision that was implemented in conjunction with the sea-trout regulations in September, and removed the limitations set to rod-size.

Tight lines!
