Fishing Permits

As last year, fishing permits can be purchased through Elveguiden, either via the app or the website.

If you experience any problems purchasing a fishing permit, you can visit the Permit Sales Cabin between 17:00 and 18:00.

Rules for Permit Sales in Zone 1 and Zone 2

You may pre-purchase only one permit in advance. In addition, you may purchase one permit on the same day that permits are released at 15:00.

You must complete the fishing period covered by your permit before purchasing a new one. This rule is in place to ensure that fishing opportunities remain available to everyone.

In other words, you must wait until your current fishing permit has expired before purchasing a new permit. Once your permit has expired, you may log in at 18:00 and purchase another permit.

If someone purchases a fishing permit before their previous permit has expired, they will first receive a warning. If the violation is repeated, they will be blocked from purchasing permits for the remainder of the current season.

Disinfection

All visiting anglers must disinfect their fishing equipment before starting to fish.

Anglers permanently residing in Berlevåg Municipality must disinfect their equipment if it has been used in other watercourses. This also applies if the equipment has been used in Storelva.

Volunteer Work Benefits

Members who have completed volunteer work (dugnad) receive discounted prices and better access to fishing permits in Kongsfjordelva.

To gain access, your volunteer work must be approved, or you must have received prior approval. You must also be registered as a member.

If your volunteer work has been approved, or you have received prior approval, you are automatically registered and will see member prices and permits when booking.

River Wardens

We have three employed fishery wardens for the 2026 season who rotate between Storelva and Kongsfjordelva as needed.

In addition, a number of volunteer wardens assist throughout the season.

If you observe illegal fishing or any other unlawful activity, please contact the river warden.
