After a cold and rainy day, we didn't expect too many visitors to our "ladies night". Luckily, our expectations were put to shame, and we had the same amount of visitors as last year - despite the weather being quite the opposite! Quite possibly, the ladies up here are a little bit tougher than the rest. 

After a short introduction to the concept "ladies night", I handed things over to Martin Nilsen. Martin is an eager fisherman, and a skilled instructor despite his young age.

Ladies night is a cooperation between Intersport Lakselv, Guideline, Norske Lakseelver and us in Lakselv land owners association. Guideline donated two "Release"-rods, and each participant got a ticket. Tara Lill Flåten Nicolaisen (left) and Marthe Sandslett Seland (right) were the lucky ones, and won a rod each. Let's hope it's put to good use!

The mayor of Porsanger, Aina Borch, also came to spend the evening with ut. Even though she made a point of being used to fishing from a boat at sea, we started to see hints of Spey-cast after some instructions and practice.

As the night progressed, we ended ladies night around 10 p.m. Thank you all for a nice evening - hope to see you again by the river!
