Kjelden beat

The beat is aprox 600 meter in Gaula, and about 2 km long in the Bua.

The beat runs from the border of Bogenvaldet to the small waterfall at Bones beat. At the southern tip of the beat, the rivers Gaula and Bua meet. The part of the beat that is in Bua stretches from the outlet in Gaula and about 2 km up towards Budalen.

House with two apartments for accommodation is within walking distance of the beat.

There is no fishing from the other bank in Gaula and fishing on both sides of the river is permitted. The beat runs alongside cultivated fields and pastures, with easy access to the river. On the opposite side of the river, the railway passes on its way to Røros - and the only way to get over there is to wade. A nice fisherman’s shed is free to use. Here you will find a bonfire pan.

The upper part of the beat is dominated by rather calm rapids. The deepest part of the river (and hence the fish) is on the beats side.

The Bua beat is dominated by small rapids and boulders.

There are opportunities for parking by the chicken farm around 700 meters up the Budalsveien.
